Dan Barber leads Second Renaissance as Founder and President with 20 years of experience in Cybersecurity and IT leadership. As a technologist, he has led the development and operations of information systems in commercial and Federal spaces, integrated cybersecurity into DevOps environments and CI pipelines, designed the original FedRAMP baseline for cloud service providers, and authored Federal guidelines for continuous monitoring strategy. As a business executive, he has managed business portfolios that span the Department of Homeland Security and Department of Justice with annual revenues of over $20 Million and 100 employees.

Dan has a passion for building teams centered on diversity in thought and skillset, and in connecting process, people, and technologies to form cohesive solutions. Dan has a Masters in Information Science from Hood College, a Bachelors in Computer Science from The College of New Jersey, and maintains multiple management, technology, and cybersecurity certifications. Prior to founding Second Renaissance, Dan served as Senior Vice President of Technology for SE Solutions. Dan lives with his wife and two children outside of Wilmington North Carolina, and enjoys going out on the intercoastal waters and  trying to find fun ways to stay in shape.
